Volunteer Program

Are you ready to change your life? We invite you to become part of our dynamic volunteer program that offers many opportunities to serve your community and make a difference.
People from all walks of life contribute their time as volunteers, and volunteer for a variety of reasons. AVMC volunteers bring their variety of backgrounds, experience and interest in order come together to support our hospital.
Volunteers will agree to serve the first half of their commitment in areas of greatest need for the medical center, and the second half of their commitment to an area that better aligns with their goals. Our objective is to assist with and place volunteers in areas that will help them better achieve personal, educational, or career-oriented goals, while learning new skills and creating new friendships.
Hospital volunteering is exceptionally educational and for some could be the first steps toward a career in health care. This is an environment for learning to work and care for others at the basic level.

Teen Volunteer
Established in 1958, the teen volunteer program provides high school and college students the opportunity to observe, firsthand how important quality healthcare is to the community, and how their participation helps meet the individual needs of patients and their families. Plus, our teen volunteer program can fulfill school service hour requirements.
