AVMC Women's Heart Fair Advocates Cardiovascular Health for Women

(LANCASTER, Calif., February 2, 2024) – Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) is excited to host its upcoming 8th annual Women's Heart Fair, a dedicated event focused on promoting cardiovascular health among women. With heart disease being a leading cause of mortality among women, this event aims to raise awareness, educate, and empower women to prioritize their heart health.

Attendees will uncover valuable tips for maintaining a healthy heart lifestyle, while learning the signs & risks of heart disease. The event will feature an engaging session with an all-female panel of medical professionals, including a pharmacist, cardiovascular nurse, and physician. There will be free services available, such as non-fasting cholesterol checks, blood pressure & BMI checks, in addition to home medication checks with a hospital pharmacist.

Media are invited to interview participants, including physicians, speakers and take photos of the event.
