Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy

Our services include:

• Musculoskeletal injury treatment, which is often caused by poor posture, repetitive stress, trauma, or disuse. A therapist will address the functional impairment to restore maximal strength and range of pain-free movement.
• Post-op orthopedic rehabilitation begins with targeted pain management and swelling reduction. The gradual introduction of exercises will restore the range of motion, strength, and function.
• Neurological rehabilitation helps patients suffering from neuromuscular disease, head trauma and brain tumors, and the aftereffects of a stroke. Patients receive a variety of treatment techniques aimed at restoring gross motor function and fine motor movements.
• Spinal pain is treated with a proven technique known as the McKenzie Treatment Approach to evaluate and treat spinal pain. Active patient involvement enables patients to heal through a series of exercises while teaching them preventative posture and body mechanics strategies.
• Dizziness and balance problems are treated with vestibular rehabilitation, a method focused on diminishing dizziness and balance problems resulting from inner ear or central nervous system injuries, viruses, or disorders.
• Arthritis is treated with exercise, and other treatment methods to reduce joint pain and stiffness encountered by people who have arthritis.
• Chronic and acute pain often leads to a loss of function. Our therapists evaluate the individual and design a custom treatment plan for pain reduction that emphasizes core strengthening, stretching, and conditioning exercises.
• Neonatal Therapy provides neurodevelopmental care and neuroprotective feeding strategies to the medically complex infants within our Level IIIB NICU. Our highly skilled neonatal therapists also provides evaluation and treatment to infants with musculoskeletal issues and positional deformities.
• Dysphagia and Communication Disorders are seen and treated by our highly trained speech language pathologists. They use current, evidence based methods to address these conditions, and are also trained on performing swallow studies as needed.
