    Awarded by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Program, this honor is established on criteria that measures the robustness of the antimicrobial stewardship efforts. AVMC has been demonstrated to improve patient outcomes and reduce adverse consequences, including combatting antimicrobial resistance (AR) and mitigating Clostridioides difficile infections.
