This in-hospital program improves stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to the latest scientific treatment guidelines. This award demonstrates AVMC’s proven dedication to ensuring all stroke patients have access to best practices and life-saving care.
Silver Award for Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (2024)
Awarded by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Program, this honor is established on criteria that measures the robustness of the antimicrobial stewardship efforts. AVMC has been demonstrated to improve patient outcomes and reduce adverse consequences, including combatting antimicrobial resistance (AR) and mitigating Clostridioides difficile infections.
Gold Performance Achievement Award – Chest Pain – MI Registry (2024)
Antelope Valley Medical Center is honored to be a recipient of the 2024 Gold Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology for participating in the Chest Pain--MI Registry. AVMC demonstrated sustained achievement of performance measures in treating acute myocardial infarction patients through the implementation of American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Guideline Recommendations.
