AVMC Invites Community to Celebrate the Season at Tree Lighting Event
- Posted On:
(LANCASTER, Calif., December 2, 2025) – Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) invites the community to its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. This heartwarming, family-friendly tradition spreads a little joy to our patients, staff and the entire Antelope Valley community.
The event will take place outside the main hospital entrance (behind the tree) and will include the telling of the AVMC Christmas tree story, a blessing, caroling from the Palmdale High School Chamber Singers, lighting of the tree, refreshments, and a special appearance from Santa Claus himself!
The live pine tree was planted in 1994 in honor of a young patient who passed that year of Cystic Fibrosis. Today that tree reaches into the sky and becomes an even more beautiful focal point when it is decorated for the holidays. This celebratory tree lighting ceremony is held to honor the patients and community during the holiday season. The event is free and open to the public.
Media is invited to attend the tree lighting event, speak to staff and patrons, as well as take photos/video.
