Antelope Valley Medical Center enters Partnership with The Foundation for Hospital Art.

(LANCASTER, Calif., April 8, 2026) Antelope Valley Medical Center recently partnered with The Foundation for Hospital Art, an international nonprofit organization that provides creative artwork—free of cost—to hospitals and healthcare facilities. AVMC received a collection of original artwork specifically for our Pediatric unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The artwork was selected to create a more vibrant and uplifting environment for young patients and their families.

The paintings were curated with familiar scenes inspired by favorite Disney movies and Peanuts characters. The canvas frames are installed throughout the pediatric unit, PICU and playroom—with the intent of reducing anxiety and providing positive distractions among our patients, while promoting mobility during their hospital stay. The artwork was painted by volunteer teams at NBC Universal and Disney, and then provided final touches by The Foundation for Hospital Art.

“Art has a powerful way of healing, so our hope is that children feel more at ease and have a sense of joy and normalcy to their hospital experience,” said Edward Mirzabegian, Chief Executive Officer, Antelope Valley Medical Center. “We thank the volunteers who provided their time and talent, and to the art organization for selecting our hospital”.

The addition of these artwork pieces underscores Antelope Valley Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to patient‑centered care and to creating healing environments that address the emotional and psychological needs of patients alongside their physical health.
