AVMC In the Community - April 2022

Donate Life Flag Raising

AVMC kicked-off Donate Life Month with our annual flag raising tradition! This year's donor recipient/speaker was Rene Sorrentino, who was a liver transplant recipient. After having spent two years on a transplant waiting list, thanks to Nicholas's (her donor) family, Rene was able to have a second chance at life. Although losing a loved one is unfathomable, the selfless act of donation, of allowing that person to save the life/lives of others is without question an act of heroism. AVMC is proud to partner with OneLegacy in the mission to save as many lives possible, through tissue and organ donation. For more information on donation or to register as a donor, visit: https://www.donatelife.net

Doctors Day 2022

Antelope Valley Medical Center recognizes our physicians as we celebrate National Doctor’s Day. “We’re proud of our doctors, especially for standing strong these last two years. I applaud their commitment and passion for their profession,” said AVMC Chief Executive Officer Edward Mirzabegian. “Across all service lines, our doctors demonstrated top-quality care, compassion for our patients and were devoted to improving the health of our community.”

AVMC recognizes the immeasurable contribution that our 550+ doctors have provided to the Antelope Valley community. Thank you for all that you do!
