Ronald Bingham Named Chief Operating Officer

Ronald Bingham, a well-known local healthcare leader and a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, has been appointed chief operating officer of Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC), effective immediately.
No stranger to the challenges and opportunities surrounding Southern California healthcare, Bingham has served as vice president of planning and marketing at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, vice president of administration at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, and senior vice president of strategy and business development at California Hospital Medical Center. Bingham most recently was the executive advisor to the CEO at King Faisal Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
"We are thrilled to add to our executive team a person with Ron’s background, vast experience and strategic mindset," said AVMC Chief Executive Officer John Rossfeld. "As Antelope Valley Medical Center looks to enhance existing services while adding new ways to serve our growing community, Ron will be instrumental in helping us build the capabilities and partnerships we need in this very volatile healthcare environment."
In accordance with the management agreement between Antelope Valley Healthcare District and Alecto Healthcare, Bingham is formally an Alecto employee as is Rossfeld and the hospital’s chief financial officer, for which a search is currently underway.
Bingham holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary University.
