  • Posted On:

Roger Girion, PhD, will present "Characteristics of Successful Persons" on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) Community Resource Center, 44151 15th Street West in Lancaster. The free hour-long lecture will explore:

  • What people can do to change their mindset to a successful one.
  • Skills required to succeed.
  • How to turn dreams into goals by attaching a schedule.
  • How to persevere through adversity.
  • Thinking outside the box by entertaining a different mindset.

This is the first in a monthly mental health lecture series.

"Most people have aspirations for the future, but not all of them know how to turn their dreams into reality," said Dr. Girion. "I want to help people live out the futures they envision for themselves by showing them how to realign their thoughts and actions in a way that produces results."

Dr. Girion is a member of AVMC’s medical staff and oversees emergency psychiatric services. Drawing from more than 30 years in the mental health field, he is passionate about educating the public on mental health issues.
