Admitting

It is our privilege to have you as a patient and our guest.

lobby area

Please take a moment to review our admissions information, which can help ensure a smooth registration process and help us have everything ready when you arrive.

You can preregister for all scheduled surgeries, admissions and maternity services.

Scheduled Procedures and Admissions

To help expedite the registration process, a few days prior to your scheduled procedure our preregistration clinical office and admitting department will call you to obtain some basic information, including your insurance eligibility and coverage and we will inform you of any copays, deductibles, or co-insurance. As well as any special needs or requests you have. Our representative also can answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.

On the day you’re being admitted, please go directly to the admitting area, located at the main entrance. Here you will need to check in and complete the admission process.

If you have not preregistered, please allow at least 30 minutes for the registration process prior to admission.

How to Prepare

Please consult with your physician regarding medical questions such as whether to eat or drink prior to surgery, tests or procedures. If the orders are not followed, this could result in surgery, tests or procedures being delayed or canceled.

Pre-Admission Testing

Some procedures require preadmission testing, such as lab work, xrays or other diagnostic tests. Your doctor will tell you if and when you need to come to the hospital before your scheduled procedure to complete these tests.

When visiting the hospital for preadmission testing---for lab work, please check-in with the admission desk inside the Outpatient Lab entrance located at 44241 15th St West, Lancaster. For x-rays or other diagnostic tests, please check-in with the admission desk inside the main hospital entrance.

Maternity Patients

When labor begins you can go directly to the Women & Infants Pavilion for registration and admission. For your convenience you can print out the preadmission form in advance and bring the completed form into the Women & Infants Pavilion admitting department in advance.

Arrival Time

Please call your physician for the correct date and time to arrive for your surgery or procedure. Allow plenty of time to park and complete your registration and check-in process.

Payment for Services

All co-insurance and deductibles are required to be paid before service or discharge.

Uninsured Patients should inquire with the registration staff about speaking with a financial counselor prior to the procedure. Charity Care applications are available upon request for patients who are unable to pay for their services.

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, cashier’s checks and cash as forms of payment.
